Tami Lotz of Mumm Napa

Tami Lotz is a California native who believes everything is better with bubbly. Born and raised in Napa, Tami leads the Mumm winemaking team with deep expertise in méthode traditionnelle sparkling winemaking and a lifelong love of the valley she calls home. She believes everything in life is better with bubbles and is full of unexpected ideas for everyday celebrations.

Tami completed her degree in Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis, and after interning at Mumm Napa, was fortunate enough to be able to spend a year abroad, working and learning about wine.

She worked in Germany, traveled through Australia, and worked in Chile, eventually returning home and to the Mumm Napa winemaking team as Enologist in 2003. She worked her way from there to Assistant Winemaker and eventually head Winemaker in 2019. In addition to crafting award-winning sparkling wines, Tami enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and a wide variety of outdoor activities.
